Flourishing Women of B-CU is a newly formed organization to aid female students to grow in the direction of professionalism and become assertive and secure in any business/work environment,” said Dr. Diana Lee, student organization leader. The organization was established December 2019 by Dr. Lee and her graduate assistant Uzoamaka Nwafor, and most recently had its second meeting of the academic year in January with guest speaker Attorney D’Lorah Butts-Lucas. Lucas shared her journey from childhood to her professional career, becoming a business owner and now a minister. The students enjoyed asking Attorney Butts-Lucas questions and she also provided a brief training regarding business dining etiquette as well.

The women’s student group meets monthly and for the spring semester will meet on February 24th, March 30th, and April 27th. Flourishing Women of B-CU seeks new members each meeting.
