Student Involvement: President, UNCF Pre- Alumni Council, Concert Chorale, American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), Mr. School of Religion, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. 

Alante' Thomas is recipient of the the Hank Aaron Chasing the Dream Foundation 4 for 4 Endowed Partial Tuition Scholarship in Honor of Joyce Moorehead. A Detroit native, Alante is is pursuing a degree in philosophy. 

"Having the Hank Aaron Scholarship means a great deal to me because it decreases my student loans. I want to leave school without debt. The scholarship really is a financial saving grace for me, as I don't have the money to pay for a school and it is a blessing that I was given this opportunity,” said Thomas.

Alante' is deeply-engaged in campus life where he serves as President of the UNCF Pre-Alumni Council, is a bass singer for The Concert Chorale, Mr. School of Religion, liaison for American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), and a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. 

He has immersed himself in experiential learning with internships in chaplaincy at Advent Health in Daytona Beach, and in Washington, DC, for AIPAC. Thomas has also collected passport stamps, touring Israel with the University's "ambassadors of goodwill," the Concert Chorale, and experiencing the innumerable benefits of study abroad in Senegal, Africa.

Alante’s career goals involve ministry and running for elective office with an eye toward becoming mayor of his hometown of Detroit, Michigan. Ultimately, he wants to help where the need is greatest.
