I have seized a lot of opportunities throughout my matriculation at B-CU, and I’m not done making an impact. During the Summer of 2017 and 2018, I participated in CURE (the Center for Undergraduate Research Excellence). CURE is a paid fellowship that provides students with resources to conduct research. During the winter break of 2017, I traveled to Senegal, West Africa to gather data for my research on Womanism. In February 2018, I presented my research at the Phi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society Conference in Washington, DC. During the winter break of 2018, I traveled to Israel with an organization called Passages. I am now one of their campus ambassadors that has traveled to several conferences around the United States. Most recently in March, I presented my research on Womanism in the University Academic Showcase and won third place.

My future goal is to establish a career as an attorney because I have a passion for helping others. One of my sole purposes as a campus leader has always been to encourage students to reach for every opportunity at arm’s length, because blessed is the person that believe that the Lord will fulfill his promises to him or her. I want all that I’ve done thus far to serve as motivation for anyone that believes that they can’t achieve something.
