Jose Plazas Named Tom Joyner Foundation Hercules Scholar

Congratulations to Jose Plazas, who was named a Hercules Scholarship Winner by the Tom Joyner Foundation. The value of the scholarship is $1,500. Plazas is a senior finance major with a minor in business administration from Bogota, Columbia. After graduating, Jose plans to begin his master’s degree in financial markets and obtain an internship to gain experience in the industry. He ultimately wants to become a trader in a Wall Street firm.

Aside from academics, Jose is active as the captain of the tennis team. He has also passed the National Futures Association Series 3 exam with a score of 81. He is most influenced by his parents, billionaire Warren Buffet and tennis great Roger Federer.
