Meet Carl Reeds Tom Joyner Foundation Hercules Scholar

Carl Reeds is a senior, criminal justice major, pre-law minor, from Cherrylake, Florida. Reeds is a scholar who maintains a 3.7 GPA. This future researcher is well on his way, as he has taken advantage of research opportunities with the department of criminal justice. 

In fact, Reeds has participated in numerous projects including "Examination of the Communities That Care Model Toward Understanding Juvenile Risk of Recidivism." His efforts don't stop there. He is the vice president of the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice. 

Reeds shared that he is influenced by Malcolm X. His motto is "Proper preparation prevents poor performance."
