Bethune-Cookman University Hosts Special Screening and Talk Back of the Romantic Comedy "Always A Bridesmaid" Written by Actress Yvette Nicole Brown
DAYTONA BEACH, FL- On Saturday, October 12, 2019, at 8:00 p.m. the Bethune-Cookman University Doris McClaney School of Performing Arts and Communication, in partnership with Tri Destined Studios, Little Brown Girl, Sabrina Russ Entertainment, Hard Rock Hotel, and Team Volusia will host a special movie screening and talk back conversation of the romantic comedy 'Always a Bridesmaid,' in B-CU's Heyn Memorial Chapel (640 Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard Daytona Beach, FL), with celebrity appearances by "Always a Bridesmaid" Executive Producer and Writer Yvette Nicole Brown, Director Trey Haley, and Actor Richard Lawson.
"I'm really looking forward to sharing this amazing film with the students and faculty at the wonderful HBCU Bethune-Cookman University as well as the community-at-large. I can’t wait!," said "Saints & Sinners" star Richard Lawson.
The film screening and intimate conversation will be moderated by Star 94.5 Radio Personality and Tom Joyner Morning Show Host, Monica May. Also joining the special screening are celebrity cast members, Actress Amber Chardae Johnson, Comedian/Actress Jasmin "Watch Jazzy" Brown, and Actor Marcel Spears.

Best known for her role in the award-winning NBC comedy "Community" and her appearance on multiple television shows the film marks her screenwriting debut.
The LaDoris McClaney School of Performing Arts and Communication offers a rich and vibrant learning environment in which performing and communication artists can thrive, grow and reach their full potential. Students study and collaborate with a talented faculty complemented by the infusion of professional artists who help students bridge the gap between the classroom and the “real world.” Practicums, internships and conferences offer students opportunities to gain experience and hone their skills while at the same time building networks for their future.
Trey Haley of Tri Destined Studios has numerous directing credits to include the BET hit series "The Family Business," based on the New York Times bestselling novel by Carl Weber and stars Ernie Hudson, Valerie Pettiford, Emilio Rivera, Darrin Henson and more. "Partnerships with Tri Destined Studios, Sabrina Russ Entertainment and other film and television stakeholders provide the opportunity for our faculty and students to gain insights on the entertainment and communications industries in preparation for growth of academic offerings and potential careers for our students," said Hiram Powell, PhD., Dean of the LaDoris McClaney School of the Performing Arts and Communications.
The film screening is free and open to the public. However, seating is limited. The Red Carpet begins at 7:30 and the screening will start promptly at 8 p.m. Doors will open for the public at 7:30 p.m.
