B-CU Culinary Lab Manager and Instructor Makes a Difference in the Lives of Students
Daytona Beach, FL– B-CU Instructor and Culinary Lab Manager in the Bob Billingslea School of Hospitality Management, Chef Charles Mallory was recently recognized as a Distinguished Male in Culinary by Divine Designs Event Planning and Décor in Daytona Beach, Florida. This honor was presented to 44 African-American males who are making a difference in their communities.
Chef Mallory is not only the chef instructor at B-CU, he is an alumnus of the University. “I am truly humbled with this honor. Words cannot express the gratitude I feel with being recognized in the Daytona Beach community,” said Mallory. “I’ve always been a person to put my head down and just work, without the accolades. Without all the fanfare and without others looking.”
The event took place at the Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach. A percentage of the proceeds from the formal ball were allocated to male development programs in the local community.
