B-CU and FAMU Partner for the Fourth Annual HBCU Law Enforcement Symposium and Luncheon, “21st Century Policing: Attracting the Best and Brightest”

This past month, B-CU's Center for Law and Social Justice (CLSJ) and The College of Liberal Arts partnered with Florida A & M University's Student Chapter of the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice, Lambda Alpha Epsilon-Alpha Mu Upsilon, the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice and the Department of Campus Safety and Security to host the Fourth Annual Florida HBCU Law Enforcement Symposium and Luncheon in Tallahassee. Leon County Sheriff Walter McNeil and Lake City Police Chief Argatha Gilmore were this year's event speakers. More than 20 agencies from Florida were represented at the luncheon and 15 students from B-CU traveled to the annual symposium.

Faculty participation included: Dr. Randy Nelson, Director of CLSJ and the Master of Criminal Justice Administration Program at B-CU, Dr. Kideste Yusef, Department Chair of Justice & Political Studies at B-CU., and Dr. Felecia Dix-Richardson, Associate Professor of Criminal Justice at FAMU.
