HBCU Campus Leaders Prepare for New Roles in Organizational Leadership
Recently, Kenuantae Storey, former Student Government Vice President and rising senior Public Relations student attended the “Won’t Back Down” Virtual Leadership Conference this weekend hosted by UNITE, Inc. The virtual conference was designed for student leaders currently enrolled at Historically Black Colleges and Universities across the country, according to unitementoring.com. “We tailored the interactive workshops to suit the needs of SGA, Campus Courts, Campus Activity/Programming Boards, and NPHC leaders.”
Speakers from various industries presented during the 2-day virtual experience.
“I’ve gained so much wisdom and information that truly set a tone for this next academic year,” said Storey. I want to thank UNITE, Inc. Founder Travis Smith and Outreach and Intern Coordinator Duncan Kirkwood who put together this amazing HBCU conference with connections, tools, and resources for HBCU students to utilize. I feel more than equipped to take on my senior year, prepare for grad school and journey as a servant leader to my beloved HBCU.
Storey is expected to graduate spring 2021 and plans to pursue a masters in higher education as well as becoming a leadership speaker and trainer.
