Institutional Advancement Welcomes New Major Gifts Officer

Lisa Williams Rollins is coming home To Bethune-Cookman University as Major Gifts Officer under the Division of Institutional Advancement. Many alumni know Lisa Williams ( B-CU Class of 1984) for her active roles in campus organizations such as Concert Chorale, Orchesis Dance Troup, and college cheerleading. Rollins was also a member of the Gamma Tau Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Diamonds Sweetheart Club, and the Pre-Alumni Council. She served on the homecoming court for three years, and held positions as campus organization queens throughout her matriculation at B-CC.

Lisa infuses a creative energy that inspires and initiates improvement to any organization or event that she is responsible for managing. Her vision and energy are infectious, but her success lies in the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse populations to achieve or surpass goals. Rollins is reuniting with B-CU after several years of working for the United Negro College Fund, the Salvation Army, United Way, and managing her own consulting company.

Returning to B-CU is a dream that has come to fruition. She received her MBA from Hampton University and is a second generation “Cookmanite” as her mother Ruth Dunmore Williams, graduated from BCC in 1959, and her daughter Deja, who is currently enrolled. Rollins is a member of Jack and Jill Associates, the Chicago Chapter of the Girlfriends and the B-CU National Alumni Association. She is the proud mother of three children,  Lawrence III, Laryssa and Deja.
