Bethune-Cookman University Announces 40 Under 40 Awards Host Emmy Award Winning News Anchor and Author Jazmin Bailey
DAYTONA BEACH, FL- She’s smart, funny, real and this year's 40 Under 40 Awards & Scholarship Luncheon Host at Bethune-Cookman University. Known to most as an Emmy Award-winning news anchor, Jazmin Bailey is also a best-selling author and dynamic speaker.
Each morning, Jazmin greets Central Florida TV viewers with her bright smile and the day’s top headlines. She is honored to have covered some of the area’s biggest stories including: the Markeith Loyd manhunt, the Noor Salman verdict and the search for a gator responsible for a child’s death at Walt Disney World.
Jazmin is a proud graduate of Michigan State University’s School of Journalism. After nearly a decade in television, she now takes her storytelling outside of the newsroom and inspires others with her personal life lessons.
Jazmin most recently published her first book, The Woman With The Oil, which catapult's readers into moments that would make anyone cry, laugh or drop their jaw.
The 40 Under 40 Awards & Scholarship Luncheon recognizes outstanding young alumni who have made an impact in their careers and community. This is the fifth year anniversary of the esteemed awards ceremony and is B-CU's premiere event of homecoming. The awards ceremony is held at the Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach and hosts nearly 300 guests. Proceeds from the fundraising luncheon assist students at B-CU with need based scholarships.
