Volusia Volunteers and Medicine and B-CU Hold Partnership Reception
Volusia Volunteers In Medicine (VVIM) provide free, compassionate healthcare to working uninsured individuals ages 18-64. The all-volunteer staff include physicians, nurses and social workers. Services are provided at the B-CU Odessa Chambliss Center for Health Equity located at 113 Lochart Street in Daytona Beach FL. B-CU provides annual in-kind services to the free health clinic.
VVIM volunteers and community partners gathered on Thursday, May 23, 2019, for a reception at the Odessa Chambliss Center where they pledged to redouble their efforts to provide healthcare to the working uninsured. To date, more than 400 beneficiaries have received healthcare at the free clinic.
VVIM is open to receive new patients. To be eligible, you must have a permanent address in Volusia County, not be presently covered by health insurance, are presently employed or employed within the past 12 months, and are at or below 200% poverty level.
